This is my first photography exhibition that i have done, it was a extended homework that all of my photography class got. It was a lot harder to do then i thought because you had to pick a lot of different photos that went really well together you had to think about tall the different colours and the setting of them. I split my exhibition up into two different sections but they were really near each other, the first section of my exhibition has really bright colours in it and i used pink and blue string I also did some collages using ripped up bits of a magazine. The second section of my exhibition had photos in it that had quite dark colours in it and i put the photos on some fairy lights because i thought it would look nice when the lights were turned off.
I chose to put my exhibition in my house as some of my parents friends were staying at our house so they would see it as well. I invited my mum,dad and three of their friends to see my exhibition. They all said that next time i should put my exhibition outside in a more public place and i should do a few more collages. They also said that they liked that it was split into two sections that were very different. The last main thing they said is that they liked that my poster for it had a magazine collage on it because I was bringing some of my exhibition onto the poster so people would be able to see what some of it was going to be like and people could see if they were going to like it.
Next time i do a exhibition i think i will do it in a more public place so lots more people can see it. I also think i would stay where ever I put it for a few hours and do a time-lapse so i could see by peoples facial expressions what they thought of it and i could also ask more people that i would have never seen before what they thought so i can get a more honest opinion because my mum and dad and their friends probably wouldn't have said anything really negative because they wouldn't want to hurt my feelings.
